| I could see this as a good place to have Choose Your Own Adventure games as well, assuming anyone steps up to the plate and devises one to be written. | |

| A book with different paths, depending on the choices you make. For example: - Quote :
- You see a pie on the table.
If you want to take a slice, go to page 3.
If you leave it be, go to page 6.

| Someone types up the introduction to the story, and all of the readers are assumed to be said character. The person writing the story will, at the end of the segment, post multiple choices that the users can vote on. Usually, only the answer with the most votes is accepted, but I have seen a few cases where the top two are chosen, or, a write-in vote is instead made and becomes popular enough to be the designated choice. As you'll see, it's almost like an interactive visual novel. For example:
Awakening one afternoon, you stretch languidly in your bed, your eyes shut as you reminisce over your flawless completion of Ten Desires on Lunatic last night. You hear the sound of birds chirping, and the sunshine on your face. Suddenly, you realize something is horribly wrong. Opening your eyes, you realize you are no longer in your mother's basement, and have somehow ended up in a forest while you were asleep! Looking around you, the entire area is unfamiliar, and you begin to realize you have no idea where you are.
What do you do?: [A] Attempt to go back to sleep. Something isn't right here, you must be dreaming, and this entire place must be a figment of your imagination.
[B] Take deep breaths in an attempt to calm yourself. Wherever you are, it seems like you're alone, doing something rash will only get you hurt and harm your chances of survival.
[C] Scream out in fear, crying for your mother.
[D] Panic, running wildly about the area in an attempt to find civilization.
[E] ________ (Fill in the blank)

| That seems like a pretty good idea. | |

| I'm in favour of such a concept; however, for the story to truly progress, the DM per se must be very active. | |

| Which, at the moment, means I don't think I'd do a good job of such. I'd love the idea of making one myself, but until I can responsibly respond to other RPers actively and often, I'll have to pass on starting one of these myself. | |

| We could try having a group act as DM, agreeing upon a flexible script of sorts. | |

| That, too, could definitely work, and also evokes the concept of more heads being better than one. A flexible script would also be a good idea, and could perhaps lead the way to new ideas being realized that could improve the story overall. | |

| Well, if you think you're going for it, I might join in. With college ending and all, I'm about to become a full-time NEET without anything better to do with his life again. | |

| Believe me, I'm definitely thinking about it, and I'd be more than happy to have you along with us, even though there isn't really an 'us' just yet. The main thing holding me back from any ideas or typing at the moment is knowing that I'd easily slack off, and until I can make sure that I put that bad habit away, I don't think it'd be a good idea for me to try anything like this. | |
